A black shirt, worn by sixty people photographed around the world, becomes the common thread in the visual narrative of the book Faithful. People around the World.
An entirely anonymous, unbranded black shirt was deliberately chosen so as not to overshadow the true subjects of the black-and-white portraits taken by Carlo Orsi: men and women, the elderly and children, people of every race and social class—each becoming one with the place where they live and where they are portrayed.
The photographs are published in Faithful. People around the World (Milan: Skira, 2004).
